We were scheduled for an 8:30am c-section, which meant that we had to check into the hospital at 6:30am. And if we want to make it to the hospital at 6:30am, we would have to leave the house by at least 4:30am. if we didn't want to rush or worry if we hit a snag along the way. So we both set our alarms, I think it was for 3:30am. WHOA! I was having anxiety the night before because I was scared that we would miss our appointment. Tai says, "Don't worry, we know we have to wake up, so we will wake up. No problem." Okay.
Yeah right! When I woke up the next morning and checked my phone it was already 4:20am. WTF!!!! For maybe the last month or so of my pregnancy I needed help to get out of bed and to walk to the bathroom. It had become so difficult and painful for me and so this would take a few minutes. Not that morning. I guess the adrenaline was real and I hopped out of the bed and ran to the shower. Tai said he thought I had the baby since I moved so fast. LOL. I never moved that fast throughout my whole pregnancy. Maybe my whole life. LOL! OMG, we were panicking. What if we show up late?
So we got ready in a flash. We must've been out of the house and out on the road about 4:45. CRAZY! And I'm usually yelling at Tai to slow down, but not this time. We were late, late, late, for a very important date. Thank goodness there were no cops.
So we made it with time to spare. I think it was just a little after 6am. Oh boy, never again.
