Looking up from the lobby of the hotel.
A toilet with good plumbing (more on that later).
Kalena (one of our professors) on his balcony as seen from our balcony.
Another view from our balcony.
This was a very beautiful hotel. One awesome thing at the Eco Inn was the free continental breakfast. I'm not talking the usual fruits and pastries kind of continental breakfast. This was a full on buffet. There were fruits, pancakes, toast, bacon, and even an omelette station. I kid you not. I kept asking everyone if it was really free. Apparently America is unaware of what a continental breakfast is. I like Peru's definition better. hahaha.
Oh, and I would like to add another awesome thing, the free coca tea. Yup, that's right, I said coca tea, made from the leaf of the coca plant, the plant used to make cocaine. Hahaha. Coca products are as common in Peru as chocolate. People drink coca tea, eat coca candy, and even chew on coca leaves, children as well as adults. The coca helps relieve altitude sickness. I'm not sure if it does help because I was all about prevention. I wasn't taking any chances at about 11,000 ft. above sea level. I was drinking that tea and eating those candies any chance I got. Plus the tea helped with the chill. I miss the coca.
