2nd Birthday

We decided that for Hanu's 2nd birthday, although a very special occassion, we would stick to doing something simple and small. We just had a few friends over, had dinner, cake and ice cream, and did a quick painting activity with the kids. A lot less stressful than his 1 year old parties. Thank goodness!

This second year has been crazy. It went by so fast and he has grown so much. He has a cute head of curls. He talks a lot, but we can't understand any of it. I think the words that are clear are Daaa (Daddy), Ma (Mom), No, Cheese, and a few more that I can't think of at the moment. With the right timing, he will give hugs and pats your back (Love-Love), and honis too. He waves bye (a hui hou), puts on his crocs by himself, and can do simple block puzzles. He also loves the puzzle apps on the iPad. He has very good fine-motor skills, for example, he can take the cap off those little acrylic paint bottles and pour it all over himself in Walmart. Yes, that happened. He has grown so much but is definitely in his terrible twos. Those tantrums are getting worse. OMG! But we love him dearly and can't wait to see what he has in store for us in the future.
