5.5 Months

Oh gosh.... slacking. He turned 5 months about 2 weeks ago. Ooops! I didn't forget, I just didn't get around to blogging anything. Sorry. Hmmm, let's see if I can recall what he started doing this month. Well, one thing I've noticed is that although his brain may be growing, my brain seems to be shrinking. I can't seem to remember anything. I can be mid-sentence and forget what I was talking about. Mommy brain, perhaps, or just getting old. Darn!!!

Me & Mama

Okay, back to what you all tune in for, my Takumi. He is still such a good boy. Sleeping through the night, although I guess he wanted to keep us on our toes because he woke up twice in the middle of the night a few weeks ago. Oh boy, his poor parents didn't know how to handle that. Hahaha. I don't know how we did it before. I think he was a little sick and uncomfortable sleeping on his back and turned on to his belly and woke himself up. Let's hope that he gets use to flipping over in his sleep. That brings me to his sleeping arrangements. He is still sleeping in the co-sleeper, but they recommend stopping after baby starts to roll over. Hopefully we figure something out soon.

Nai-nai da baybee.

Takumi has been rolling over for quite some time now. But more recently, I have noticed that he can roll to his tummy, and then over to his back. Now we really have to watch out. But it's fun to watch how he ends up so far away from where he started. He is beginning to be mobile. Uh-oh!

Waiting for Mama.

C'mon, Mama!!!!

Sorry, I know the pictures don't match. I guess I was slacking on the picture taking too. Oops! But I digress.

Okay, he is able to hold his bottle, but he gets lazy and lets go so that I hold it. He is also good with his toes. When I feed him, he grabs the straps of my top with his toes and pulls on it. Tai said that he can even grab the pillow with his toes and move it. Talent, I tell you.

One of the weird things he does is grabbing things and sucking his thumb. He holds on to a burp cloth (thank you, Nana, for encouraging this) and sucks his thumb. Apparently one of his parents did that. Go figure. If it's not a burp cloth, it's the blanket, or the straps on my top/bra... anything. He wants to put everything in his mouth. As I wash his hair, Tai puts his finger in his mouth to keep him occupied, and Takumi is still trying to shove his own thumb in there. Even when he gets a bottle, he tries to shove his thumb in there too. He is too much.

FaceTime with the Morgans.

He is a good boy, but getting strong and naughty too. Sometimes he beats me up when I feed him. He hits me, kicks me, pinches me. I think he is just impatient and wants the milk faster, but still. But soon we should be starting him on solids. Yay... I think. Excited, but hope we can handle that next step. I am so over pumping. I hope making his baby food will be easy for us. I think he is ready. It's cute to watch him follow the food when we eat. He watches it from the plate to our mouths. Pretty soon, Bebe.

He is still a joy, and probably making it too easy for us. We love it!!!

No problem on the slacking, cause looks like your followers slacking, too. lol.
So cute that picture of you, too.
And he looks so soothed with his thumb.
So cute, he sooo excited to see you. You so mean make him wait. haha
Youʻre over pumping? He must be thinking, mom, Iʻm over breast milk, give me the real stuff. Everytime he watches that fork he is thinking, is that one for me? Ah shucks! Film the first solid food feeding :)
Mahalo for the update. Miss our Hanu Boi!

I hope that he is getting over breast milk. I dont think I am making enough for him. He is taking 6oz each feeding at the sitters. I try to push it during the weekends and stretch his feedings but he is not having it. Hopefully when we start solids he will need less and less milk.
Yes, I will tape it. Im so excited. Hahaha!
