Baskin Robbin had a 31 cent scoop night recently. It was held on April 28th, from 5p till closing, or till they ran out of ice cream. I love me some ice cream and couldn't pass up the deal so Tai and I headed out to our Hilo Baskin Robbins in hopes that they would be participating in this special deal. The long line out the door let me know that my prayers have been answered. Hahahaha. I have no problem standing in a line to get some cheap ice cream.
You got to choose between a cup, sugar cone, or waffle cone. Waffle cone please. Then how many scoops, three being the limit. Do you even have to ask? Three please. Then what flavor. Jamoca Almond Fudge. YUMM!!! The line looked long, but the crew was ready. It probably took about 15 minutes from the time we got there till we got our ice cream. Not bad. Shoot, what would normally cost us about $8 ended up costing us about $2, but we left the change from our $5 in the tip jar, which would be donated to the National Fallen firefighters Foundation, which was the whole reason for the event. Good cause, delicious ice cream, great deal.
