Hmmm. The video doesn't do it justice. Is it a person? The loch ness monster??? Guess again.
We were walking along the beach when we heard Ola and Mānowai yelling at us to look. Right in front of the beach house we were at was a seal just cruising. He was huge. Again I'm assuming that it was male. Hahaha. He must have sensed our excitement. He went from lounging to "Oh crap, they spotted me." And in an instant, started swimming away. We followed him for a bit, trying to capture the moment, but kept our distance by staying on the shore. We were so stoked. A seahorse AND a seal in one day. What are the chances???
Chasing, I mean, following and observing the seal from a safe and legal distance.
Can you see his head? If you can't, that's okay, we did. :-)

only the privileged, lucky 'oukou. Following weekend tried to look for the seahorse, no luck.
