Oh, I forgot to add that we were waiting so long we got hungry. So I figure, let Tai stay with bebe, save our bench, and I would go get food. How unusually nice of me. Well, actually, I'm the only one had money. So I go and get Tai some fish & zuchinni, and I get some Maui Tacos, and then a lemonade. I forget that the "no plastic bag" policy has started, so I am carrying two plates, a large lemonade, and my wallet back to center court. I'm concentrating, trying not to drop anything, and what happens? My slipper breaks. My slipper that has served me through my pregnancy and months after his birth finally breaks at the perfect time. And not like I could shove the strap back in the puka, no! That whole button part broke off. I couldn't slide in the slippers to center court. NO. I had to hold the two plates, the lemonade, and my wallet, and scoop up my slippers, and walk back, barefoot and all. See what happens when I try be nice. HMPH!!! Maybe that was the dragon kicking me into the new snake year. Haha!
Hope the Year of the Snake is good to us (kākou).
