9 going on 10

He is growing too fast. He will be 10 months in less than a week. At his 9 month check-up, he weighed 19.6 pounds, and measured 28 inches. He has grown about 7 inches since his birth. He is over 2 feet! Haha! But still just in the 25th percentile. But Doctor says that he is doing well.

He seems to be hitting all his milestones. A great crawler, already trying to stand and balance himself. In fact, he can stand by himself for a few seconds already, and clap his hands while doing it. It won't be long till he takes his first steps.

He also looks for things after you try to hide it. No more, out of sight, out of mind. Not sure if I'm that happy about that one. He loves to play with electronics and will find my iphone when I'm not looking.

Another tooth has been poking through on the top and he didn't like that. Woke up screaming one night. We are still bad with the food. But he recently had some Costco roast chicken. Yum! Oh, and he has his pincer grasp down. And no more bottles for him at the sitters. Nana is training him with a cup. He still gets bottles at home, but we are slowly weaning him off and having him drink from a straw.

As for the talking, Nana says that if she gave gold stars, he would get the gold star for the loudest baby. He babbles so much, we cannot hear the tv. Haha! I hear him say Dada, and I have been working on Mama. Nana said he was saying it over and over the other day. But not sure if he saying Mama or mum-mum. I'll take it. Haha!

Such a cutie, but rascal too. He doesn't like staying in his octogon ring too long by himself, and he seems to end up in our bed every night because he wakes up crying. He just might be in our bed for a while if we don't nip that in the bud. But how can I put him in his own room already?

I think my favorite one is his honis. When I tell him, "Honi iā Mama," he opens his mouth wide and plants a wet one on me. And because I laugh, he keeps doing it. Of course I have to have perfect timing. Sometimes he doesn't even want to pay attention, let alone give honis. But I take what I can get.

He is my love. I am blessed and enjoying him so much, his daddy too. It is just going by so fast. Before you know it, he will be a year old. CRAZY!!!! My little man.
