Attending the Cherry Blossom Festival in Waimea has become a yearly thing for Tai and I. I love seeing the blossoms in bloom, the great craft booths, and of course the food. In fact, one of the main reasons for going is so that I can eat Aunty Violet's ʻono pastele and gandule rice. YUMMY. I don't know if they sell at any other events so I make it a point to go to this festival just for my fix. Never disappointed.
It was a lovely day. I got my fix, plus two bags of gandule rice for later, some cute Hello Kitty bags, and we also got to see some taiko drumming. That was great, but I could've done without the sunburn. Hahaha. Till next year. =)

Aunty Violet's pastele plate with gandule rice, bacalao salad, and pipinola. YUMMY!!!!

Tai enjoying his plate.

Don't you love how we take picture next to the barest tree? Hahaha.
