Kobash: Stand Up Paddle Boarding

Nowadays, it seems as if everyone is doing it. Its the new craze out there. My brother Reid has been doing it for a while now, but now it seems more popular than ever. Well, our friend Ryan is just getting into it. A few weeks ago they invited us to the beach with them. Ryan and Nick (Kristen's brother) would be doing some stand up paddle boarding, and I would just hang with the girls, Kristen and Kallie. Tai joined us later after he finished work.
I was invited to try this new craze, but I am definitely not a water person, or anything athletic person for that matter. I'll pass. PLUS, I just did my hair. I didn't want to get it wet. Hahahaha.
After some convincing, Tai went out for his first lesson. Hmmm, not as easy as it looks. Not one with great balance. Is it really that difficult to stand up on the board in the water????
Well, I was asked again to try. Hmmmm, OKAY!!! I would like to tell you that I am a natural, but I would be lying. However, I did stay up for a bit. Wish I had the pictures to prove it. Being that we were both out there, no pics of me. =( Anyway, I liked the balancing part, the paddling was the awkward part. I just wanted to practice the balancing. Do I really need to paddle? Let the water take me where it wants to. hahaha.
I stayed out for about 10 minutes. Fell off once, BUT, only the tips of my hair got wet. My hair was still pretty. LOL. hahaha. That was fun. Hopefully I can try again sometime in prettier, calmer waters.
I had some videos to share of Tai but for some reason, the universe is keeping me from putting it up. An error message keeps popping up. Oh well, I'm sure he wouldn't be too happy about it anyway. Here are a few pics from our day at Hilo Bayfront.
