Couponing!!!

I am not an extreme couponer. Very far from it. I will save and use a coupon here and there, but nothing extreme. But I would surely like to start. So with baby on the way, I had to take advantage of a great Target coupon on baby stuff. Not as good as some people, but I paid way less than retail. Woohoo!!!!

1st transaction:

merchandise:

4 boxes of diapers @ $24.99 each

1 box of wipes @ $11.20

retail = $111.16

coupons:

$20 off of $100 Target coupon

4 diaper coupons for $1.50 off

1 wipes coupon for $.50 off

coupons = $26.50

$111.16 - 26.50 = $84.66

$84.66 - $30 gift card (from previous target deal) = $54.66

I would add tax, but my target red card gives me 5% off my purchases so that covers the tax. =) PLUS, there was a deal on diapers. You buy two boxes and get a $10 gift card. Which means I got $20 in gift cards from this transaction. Woohoo!

2nd transaction:

merchandise:

2 boxes of Pampers @ $24.99 each

2 boxes of Huggies @ $22.49 each

2 bottles soap @$2.55 each

retail = $100.06

coupons:

$20 off of $100 Target coupon

2 diaper coupons for $1.50 off

2 soap coupons for $.75 off

coupons = $24.50

$100.06 - 24.50 = $75.56

I used my red card again and also got another $20 in gift cards.

3rd transaction (different day)

merchandise:

4 boxes of Pampers @ $24.99 each

4 containers of pampers wipes @ $2.79 each

2 packs of pampers wipes @ $2.04 each

4 packs of Up & Up (Target brand) wipes @ $1.61 each

retail = $121.64

coupons:

$20 off of $100 Target coupon

1 diaper coupon for $3 off

4 diaper coupons for $1.50 off

4 coupons for free wipes ($2.79ea)

2 wipes coupons for $.50 off 

2 Target coupons for $2 off of 2 wipes

coupons = $45.16

$121.64 - 45.16 = $76.48

$76.48 - $40 gc (from previous transactions) = $36.48

AND I got another $20 in gift cards.

Last transaction:

merchandise:

4 packs of Up & Up wipes @ $1.61 each

retail = $6.44

coupons:

2 Target coupons for $2 off of 2 wipes

coupons = $4

$6.44 - 4 = $2.44

Again I used my red card which takes care of the tax.

So all together:

12 boxes of diapers

1 box of wipes

4 containers of wipes

10 pack of wipes

2 bottles of soap

Retail = $339.30

My out of pocket = $169.14

That's about a 50% savings. AND I still have a $20 gift card left over from 3rd transaction. It's not as impressive as the real couponers, but I'm still proud of myself.
