Our Garden

Over the years we have bought plants and tried to take care of them, only to have them die on us. We have black thumbs. The plant may survive for a little while and then just out of nowhere, Auē!! So it's so funny when a little garden started forming in the side lot. Tai would throw out food stuff there and then leaves and vines starting popping up. We first thought it was from the pumpkin that was thrown out from last Halloween, but then we saw this,

a watermelon. Haha! How cool is that? This is it's actual size,

Haha! It's so cute. But it doesn't seem to be growing and I think bugs got to it already. We actually had two, but I think the other one got suffocated from the other vines. Anyway, that was because we threw out a Thai watermelon. Too funny.

And then we saw a different vine growing.

Do you see it? Here is a better look.

SQUASH!! One of our favorites. And that is just from the seeds that Tai throws out. How cool!!!

So those were the first two that we got. One was given to Uncle BJ and we hope to eat the other this weekend. Hope it's good because we seem to have more on the way. =)

Wow thatʻs great farming you got there. By next year we will be visiting you guys at the Farmerʻs Market. Lol.
When I saw the picture of the watermelon, i was like wow, thatʻs cool and had to laugh when I saw Tai holding it in his hands. But the squash is huge. Good job Farmer Tai and his cute little helper. NT Ran
