Our little Takumi is so lucky. He doesn't have any biological grandparents living here, but EVERYBODY wants to hānai him. =) He has Lola and Grandpa Tablit. Our sitter refers to herself as Nana. Tai is her son, and I am her daughter in-law. And here is our dear Mahi ʻohana.
We have been friends with Miss Mikihala for a long time. And when Tai started helping them with little things here and there at the house, her mom just ended up hānai-ing him. We weren't sure if they were gonna be comfortable with the titles, but when we heard them refer to themselves as Gramma and Papa, we were thrilled. And already they telling him to call them whenever he like runaway from us. Oh boy!
We had a wonderful visit with Aunty Miki, Gramma, and Papa Mahi. And you know, they made us dinner too? Gramma's ʻono chicken specialty. BLESSED, I tell you.
