Molokaʻi Bread

I have heard the stories, but have never experienced it, until now. You can't go to Molokaʻi and not have this experience.
At 10p, when most of Kaunakakai is sleeping, you walk down this dark alley. You come across this big door and knock on it. A woman comes out and takes your order. She goes back inside and shuts the door. Returning in a few minutes, she hands you your bread and change.
I am always afraid of doing things that are unfamiliar to me, but It was way scarier in my mind than it was in real life. I pictured the Soup Nazi, but for Molokaʻi bread. Hahaha. There were a few groups there, so I guess that helped make it less scary. But anyhoo, like I said, it's a must do on Molokaʻi. Not only for the experience, but for the ʻono Molokaʻi bread. If the airlines didn't charge for baggage, I would've bought more. Now that I think of it, I should've just paid the $10 then I would still have some. :-( The blueberry and cream cheese filling was my personal favorite, but I'm sure that they all taste divine. The bread is so soft. OMG!!! I wonder who is going to Molokaʻi next.
